As part of support for the “zero waste” campaign in Burundi, initiated by His Excellency Evariste Ndayishimiye, President of the Republic, the First Deputy-speaker of the Senate, Honourable Denise Ndadaye, joined the population of the zone of Gihosha, Ntahangwa commune, in Bujumbura city, as well as the student youth from the new province of Gitega in the maintenance work on a flower plantation, on Boulevard Mwezi Gisabo this May 18, 2024.
After this work, Honourable Ndadaye urged the inhabitants of the economic capital to continue to preserve peace and security, ensure the health of their living environments and fight against dirty hands diseases.
She called on them to love one another, take good care of these flowers, plant trees on the sides of the roads and avoid rumours. She also asked REGIDESO to guarantee the supply of drinking water in the different localities of the country so as to contribute in maintaining the good health of the population.
The First Deputy speaker of the Upper House of the Parliament asked the leaders of Bujumbura city to raise awareness among the population about the need for massive participation in community development work.
She also reminded the population to preserve peace and security by denouncing any person who would try to increase the prices of Brarudi products.
