In the company of the Senators elected in Bujumbura City, the First Deputy Speaker of the Senate, Honourable Denise Ndadaye, joined the population of the Rohero and Buyenzi zone, Mukaza commune during the work of cleaning the gutters, on Melchior Ndadaye Boulevard, Saturday, on July 27, 2024.
After this activity, Honourable Ndadaye called on the residents of Bujumbura City to ensure the hygiene of their residence and work places. “Avoid throwing waste in these gutters,” she asked. She also asked them to roll up their sleeves and get down to the various works, to counteract the explosion in prices.
The First Deputy Speaker of the Upper House of the Parliament also called on them to properly maintain the waters of Lake Tanganyika, for the protection of fish and urged them to continue to preserve peace and security, and to encourage students on vacation to like working.
Moreover, Honourable Denise Ndadaye invited the administrative officials of Bujumbura city to plan, in collaboration with the Ministry in charge of infrastructure, the construction of shelters at bus-stops, as well as first aid stations.
Some administrative officials of the Bujumbura city also took part in this work.
