Senate Speaker Invites Christians to Repent and Choose the Good

The Senate Speaker and Legal Representative of the United Methodist Church in Burundi, Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, accompanied by a senator elected in the constituency of Gitega, and some administrative officials of this province, joined the faithful of the Evangelical Church of Friends of Kwibuka Parish, zone, commune and province of Gitega, during the Sunday celebration prayer, on February 23, 2025.

Based on the holy scriptures taken from Genesis 6: 1-8 and John 15:16, Right Honourable Sinzohagera told them that God established them, so that they bear fruit, and that their fruit remain, so that God should give them what they ask for Him, in the name of Jesus Christ. He explained to them that these fruits are fruits of goodness.

The Speaker of the Upper House of the Parliament invited them to consider Noah, one of the characters in the Bible, as model. He also invited them to repent, choose the good and keep their lamps lit. He asked them to always be guided by the Holy Spirit, to know and exchange with God.

This high authority promised a contribution of one million Burundian francs to this parish, for the construction work underway.
