SUMMARY REPORT OF THE PLENARY SESSION OF AUGUST 13, 2024

In the year two thousand and twenty-four, on the thirteenth day of August, senators met in the Senate hemicycle in Gitega for the 201^st  plenary session of the sixth legislature. The sesion was chaired by the Right Honourable Emmanuel SINZOHAGERA, Senate Speaker, and it had on the agenda to consider the following points:

• adoption of the amended programme of activities which were planned for the period from August 1 to 13, 2024;
• analysis and adoption of the programme of activities planned for the period from August 14 to 27, 2024;

This session saw the participation of 30 senators, and it began with a prayer at 10:22 a.m.

Opening the session, the Senate Speaker first welcomed the Honourable senators present and, then, after the adoption of the modified programme of activities which were planned for the period from August 1 to 13, 2024 and the draft programme of the activities planned for the period from August 14 to 27, 2024, the Chairman of the session immediately moved on to communications.

The Senate Speaker invited Honourable senators to massively participate in the retreat trip organized for them from August 19 to 21, 2024.

The session, which took place in a climate of perfect understanding, was closed at 10:33 a.m. with a prayer.
