In the year two thousand and twenty-five, on the twenty-third day of September, senators gathered in the Senate Chamber in Gitega for the 10th plenary session of the seventh legislature under the leadership of the Right Honourable Gervais NDIRAKOBUCA, Speaker of the Senate, to adopt the amended schedule of activities for the period from September 17 to 30, 2025.
This session was attended by 11 senators and began, as usual, with a prayer at 10:45 a.m.
Opening the session, the Speaker of the Senate first welcomed the senators present and then informed them that the analysis and adoption of the bill amending Law No. 1/04 of January 5, 2011, establishing the Independent National Commission for Human Rights, which was due to be analysed and adopted, had been postponed to a later date.
Therefore, the Right Honourable Gervais NDIRAKOBUCA invited the Honourable senators to adopt the amended schedule as presented. It was adopted unanimously.
The proceedings of this session, which took place in a climate of perfect harmony, were concluded at 10:55 a.m. with a prayer.
