Swearing-in of members of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission

On August 30, 2024, members of the truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) in acronym swore in before the President of the Republic, His Excellency Evariste NDAYISHIMIYE and before the Parliament in Congress in the hemicycle of Kigobe.

Those commissioners are Ambassador Pierre Claver NDAYICARIYE, Pastor Clément Noah NZIZA, Mrs. Léa Pascasie NZIGAMASABO, Mister Aloys BARUTWANAYO, Ambassador Stella BUDIRIGANYA, Ambassador Laurent KAVAKURE, Reverend Pastor Elie NAHIMANA, Lawyer Déo NDIKUMANA, Mrs. Alice NIJIMBERE, Abbot Pascal NIYONKURU, Honourable Dénise SINDOKOTSE, Mrs. Charlotte RUKUNDO and Ambassador Engineer Selemani MOSI.

Those ceremonies were attended by the Deputy President of the Republic of Burundi, the Prime Minister, the Ombudsman, one of the Former Heads of State, the Representatives of diplomatic missions accredited to Burundi, Representatives of defense and security forces as well as representatives of diverse religious denominations.
