The First Deputy Speaker of the Senate, Honourable Denise Ndadaye, accompanied by the Minister of National Solidarity, Social Affairs, Human Rights and Gender, Mrs. Imelde Sabushimike, distributed, on Saturday 15 January 2022, aid consisting of 1,250 kg of rice, 700 kg of beans and 20 hoes to the vulnerable people of Murama village, Nyabihanga zone and commune, in the province of Mwaro.
In her message, Honourable Denise Ndadaye called on the inhabitants of this locality to form associations and to buckle down to development, since ” Many hands make light work,” she said. She also called on them to correct mistakes made in the past, which would be the cause of the failure of livestock projects in some cooperatives, because “the capital loan that is being exploited should be repaid,” she insisted.
In addition, the First Deputy Speaker of the Senate asked them to be characterised by love, to exploit together arable land and livestock projects to facilitate supervision. She made a vibrant appeal to the village leaders to be good representatives of the people who mandated them and to follow up on their development projects.
In an atmosphere of joy, Honourable Denise Ndadaye took the opportunity to exchange wishes for the year 2022 with this population, through the sharing of a drink.
Before proceeding to the distribution of this aid, Honourable Ndadaye had joined the population of this same village in the weeding of a banana plantation belonging to the cooperative “Sangwe” of Murama, Let us recall that she had also visited the site of the Batwa community of this same locality.
