Tuesday, October 19, 2021, the First Deputy Speaker of the Senate, Honorable Dénise Ndadaye, some Senators and other senior officials of the Senate took part in the ceremonies of the 2nd edition of the High Level National Forum of Women Leaders, under the theme: “Women: Unite against malnutrition in Burundi” organized in Bujumbura City Hall, Mukaza Commune, in the ODECA room.
These ceremonies were organized by the First Lady, HE Angeline Ndayishimiye, under the high patronage of the President of the Republic of Burundi who opened this activity.
In her speech, HE Angeline Ndayishimiye said that this Forum provides an opportunity to discuss the step already taken in the fight against malnutrition, assess the nutritional situation in Africa and Burundi, the successes, the challenges and the future prospects.
Other guests who participated in these ceremonies are the First Lady of Niger, former First Ladies Denise Nkurunziza, Denise Ndadaye and Pascasie Minani; a few Honorable Deputies, the wife of the Senate Speaker, diplomats accredited to Burundi and other high authorities of the country.
