May 4, 2022The Senate Speaker, Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, accompanied by his wife, his two Deputy- Speakers, the Honourables Denise Ndadaye and Cyriaque Nshimirimana, enhanced with his presence the ceremonies of the Internatinal day of Labour and Workers in Ruyigi province, on Monday, May 02, 2022.
That party was celebrated under the theme: “May any activity produce a concrete result that contributes to the development of Burundians”.
In a speech addressed to the population, on behalf of the President of the Republic, the Right Honourable Sinzohagera, at first sight, wished a happy day to all the people of Burundi. He called on workers from different sectors of the country to work hard to increase production.
The Speaker of the Upper House of the Parliament called on employers to favour dialogue with their employees in order to increase performance. In addition, he urged the population to get down to agricultural activities since agriculture is the first source of the country’s development.
The Right Honourable Sinzohagera ended the speech by advising in particular administrative officials to defend the interests of the country everywhere and to contribute to the strengthening of good governance.
