The Chinese Ambassador to Burundi received in audience by the the Senate Speaker

On Friday, February 11, 2022, the Senate Speaker, Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, received in audience the Chinese Ambassador to Burundi, Mrs. Zhao Jiangping, who carried a message of greeting from the Consultative Conference of the Chinese People (CCPC).

At the level of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, the exchange of ideas focused on a partnership that will soon attain 60 years, materialized by the support of China in the fields of education, agriculture and livestock. The two personalities agreed that the cooperation must resume after the end of the Covid-19.

The Right Honourable Sinzohagera praised the good cooperation between China and Burundi and appreciated that China has always stood by Burundi’s side, even during the most difficult periods.

He wished that China would still support the Senate of Burundi, particularly in the areas of transport and information technology.
