The faithful of the United Methodist Church in Burundi urged to remain spiritually strong

In the morning of Sunday 17 July 2022, the Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, Speaker of the Senate at the same time Legal Representative of the United Methodist Church in Burundi, along with his wife, senators elected in Bujumbura Town and some administrative authorities, joined the faithful of the same church, Rohero parish in Bujumbura Town, during Sunday prayer.

In his preaching, he read them a biblical passage which says that “When a strong and well-armed man guards his house, what he owns is safe. But if a stronger man comes along and overcomes him, he takes away all the weapons in which he trusted, and distributes his spoils.”

Thus, Rt. Hon Sinzohagera urged them to guard their homes by remaining spiritually strong. He explained that the guarantee of their spiritual strength will be through prayer, fasting, the word of God and avoiding sin.
