In the morning of Thursday, November 12, 2020, the First Deputy-Speaker of the Senate, Honorable Spès-Caritas NJEBARIKANUYE, accompanied by some parliamentarians from Gitega constituency, currently in recess, visited Bukirasazi and Buraza communes in order to talk with local representatives about the issues of daily life.
In her remarks, the First Deputy-Speaker of the Senate asked all of the local representatives to contribute to achieve integral development while specifying that development begins at the family level.
Moreover, Honorable NJEBARIKANUYE told them that no one can develop if a population of ten households under his responsibility wallowsin misery. She also invited these representatives to work together in cooperatives. In this regard, she told them to prepare for the imminent project of creating an agro-food processing company in which a cooperative will have 5% of the shares.
Finally, Honorable NJEBARIKANUYE asked the administrative authorities to raise the parents’ awareness about enrolling their children in school and fight against cohabitation. She asked members of the cooperatives to sow selected seeds.
