On Saturday 16 July 2022, the First Deputy Speaker of the Senate, Honourable Dénise Ndadaye, joined the population of Mabaya village, in Bisoro commune of Mwaro province, in laying out firebreak.
In her message, Honourable Dénise Ndadaye invited the population to protect the environment by digging contour lines and planting trees that do not threaten the growth of food crops.
She also urged them to respect a distance of 15 metres by planting eucalyptus trees near water sources to cope with the drying up of the latter.
Honourable Dénise Ndadaye called on them to rehabilitate some damaged roads in the area.
In addition, the First Deputy Speaker of the Senate asked parents to lend ears to the children to find out their problems.
Finally, she advised students on holiday to buckle down to development work.
