On the afternoon of Friday, September 02, 2022, the First Deputy Speaker of the Senate, Honourable Dénise Ndadaye, met the inhabitants of Murama village, Nyabihanga zone and commune in Mwaro province, to sensitize them to choose right members of the village notables’ council.
In his message to the participants in this meeting, Honourable Ndadaye told them that after the establishment of the village notables’ council, the time wasted by going to distant courts will be used for development projects.
She called on them to prepare to choose people of integrity for these village authorities, to fight against cohabitation, unwanted pregnancies in schools and limit births.
The First Deputy Speaker of the Senate also challenged them to work in cooperatives and pay taxes.
After this meeting, she visited a Batwa village in this same locality where she invited them to get elected to this body of justice and to send their children to school.
Honorable Dénise Ndadaye took this opportunity to grant blankets to two vulnerable people from this locality, who had not been served during the last distribution.
