October 9, 2020In the chambers of the Senate of Burundi, the Speaker of that Institution, Right Honorable Emmanuel SINZOHAGERA, received in audience the Ambassador of Kenya to Burundi, Mr. Kenneth Vitisia, on Tuesday, October 7, 2020.
Right Honorable SINZOHAGERA informed that the Ambassador of Kenya was carrying a message from his counterpart Right Honorable Speaker of the Kenyan Senate.
In that message, Right Honorable Speaker of the Kenyan Senate presented his congratulations to the Speaker of the Senate of Burundi on his election as Speaker of the Upper House of Burundian Parliament.
It was also with the objective of inviting Right Honorable SINZOHAGERA to strengthen the good relations which have long existed between the two countries. This through the exchange of visits between the representatives of those two Chambers.
The Speaker of the Senate of Burundi promised to conduct a visit to Kenya in order to discuss with his counterpart the strengthening of cooperation between the Upper Chambers of the two countries, to share experience and to help their populations to enjoy the benefits of strengthening democracy and equity.
