The population of Bukemba urged to get down to self-development work

On Saturday, August 05, 2023, the Second Deputy Speaker of the Senate, Honourable Fabrice Nkurunziza, joined the population of his native commune, Bukemba, in the province of Rutana, during the celebration of the communal festival.

Addressing the participants in this ceremony, Honourable Nkurunziza called on them to continue to preserve peace and security, through collaboration among different security sectors within the commune.

He invited them to protect the environment, and to carry out development projects.

The 2^nd Deputy Speaker of the Upper House of the Parliament appreciated the annual achievements of the commune, and urged it to correct the errors which would have hindered some projects. He invited the population of this province to do various activities in order to achieve the development objectives of Burundi for the years 2040 and 2060.

This celebration was essentially marked by the sharing of traditional meals and drinks.
