On Saturday 13 May 2023, the Second Deputy Speaker of the Senate, Honourable Fabrice Nkurunziza, accompanied by the Minister of Defence and Veteran Affairs, Mr. Alain Tribert Mutabazi, joined the population of Shore village and zone, in the commune Gitobe of Kirundo province, in the collection of building materials and the mixing of concrete used for the construction of Rubanza Basic School
In his message to the participants, Honourable Nkurunziza thanked the inhabitants of this locality for the step already taken in the construction of this school, and encouraged them to move forward. He called on them to continue to preserve peace and security, the foundation of sustainable development; to exploit their agricultural fields during all seasons of the year, and to preserve harvest.
He also called on them to protect the environment, particularly by drawing contour lines on the slopes, and to fight against cohabitation.
The 2nd Deputy Speaker of the Senate also urged them to work hard to achieve the vision of the Head of State, according to which Burundi will be an emerging country in 2040 and a developed one in 2060.
