On August 2, 2024, the First Deputy Speaker of the Senate, Honourable Denise Ndadaye went to Nyabihanga commune, in the province Mwaro, to join the population of this commune on the occasion of the national day of local solidarity. She was carrying aid consisting of food and non-food items that she distributed to the families of the vulnerable of the Batwa community living in the village Gasambi.
In her message, the First Deputy Speaker of the Senate provided advice to the population. The advice was related to avoiding all kinds of discrimination, fighting monkey pox by observing hygiene measures and avoiding kangaroo courts.
