On September 19, 2024, as part of the Thursday dedicated to the environment, the First Deputy Speaker of the Senate, Honourable Dénise Ndadaye, accompanied by an elected senator from Mwaro constituency and the Provincial Secretary of the CNDD-FDD party in Gitega Province, joined forces with the Bagumyabanga of Matongo zone, Nyabihanga commune of this province according to the new administrative structure, in the development work of a 7-hectare plot of land, intended for the cultivation of Hass type avocado trees. This field belongs to the Bagumyabanga of the extended province of Gitega.
In her message, Honourable Ndadaye thanked the State of Burundi for encouraging the population to tackle development work. She expressed her gratitude to the party members for their exemplary cooperation and encouraged them to become models of collective work within their communities.
Concerning the price increase observed on some products, she explained that the solution lies in increasing production. She therefore urged everyone to actively invest in boosting production.
