In the morning of Saturday, April 08, 2023, the First Deputy Speaker of the Senate, Honourable Dénise Ndadaye, joined the population of Nyabikere commune, in Karusi province in the activity of maintenance on the road joining the Nyabikere and Buhiga communes.
At the end of this work, Honourable Ndadaye thanked the population for having responded massively and invited Burundians to get down to development work.
She asked the Government to properly monitor the road works carried out by the private companies which win the contracts in order to verify that the said works are well executed.
The First Deputy Speaker of the Upper House of the Parliament also called on them to be clean and to take care of the school latrines in order to fight against diseases.
In addition, Honourable Ndadaye gave them other advice by inviting them to practice agriculture and livestock, to preserve the harvest, closely monitor the education of children, respect the law and hierarchical authority, have a sense of patriotism and protect the environment.
