After the extension works of the Lycée communal de Mutambara, in the commune and province of Rumonge, on Saturday, June, 2022, the Speaker of the Senate, Rt. Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, held a meeting for the representatives of the population of this province, in ‘Tanganyika Lodge’.
In his message, Rt. Honourable Sinzohagera urged the participants in the meeting to strengthen social cohesion in order to prosper.
He also called on them to develop their native administrative area, because a citizen worthy of his name develops their home. The natives must be the model of development in their local entities,” he emphasized.
In addition, the Speaker of the Upper House of the Parliament urged the representatives of religious denominations to set a good example in promoting the development of the country and sensitizing the population to increase production.
Furthermore, he advised the inhabitants of Rumonge province to respect the hierarchy and avoid any division since the leaders are at the service of the well-being of the whole population.
Shortly before, the governor of the province, Mr. Consolateur Nitunga, had reassured that the area is peaceful, recalling the population buckles down to its daily activities and is engaged in self-development cooperative projects.
He had indicated that the inhabitants of this province are building a modern provincial office which, mentioning that it is in its final stage. In this regard, he requested the contribution of the Senate Speaker and the latter agreed to support them.
During the discussions, the participants in this meeting raised issues related to the electrification of Mutambara area, the resumption of the rehabilitation of the RN3: Gitaza-Rumonge, the increasing of French teaching hours in the post-fundamental technical schools, etc.
