The population of Rumonge invited to fight against monkeypox

The Second Deputy Speaker of the Senate, Honourabl Fabrice Nkurunziza, accompanied by the Governor of the Rumonge Province, a member of parliament elected in this constituency and some administrative officials, joined the population of the zone and commune Rumonge of this province, in the community development works which consist in the maintenance of a gutter through which water from the districts of Mugomere, Kirimba, Kanyenkoko and the urban centre pass towards Lake Tanganyika, on Saturday, August 24, 2024.

In his message, Honourable Fabrice NKURUNZIZA invited the population of Rumonge to clean up especially in their households, continue to safeguard peace and security, carry out community development works, practice modern agriculture and livestock breeding, prepare for the next elections in serenity and take necessary hygienic measures to fight against monkeypox. He also thanked the administrative officials for having encouraged the population to respond massively to the ongoing census.
