The population of Rutana called to promote modern agriculture and breeding

The Second Deputy Speaker of the Senate, Honourable Fabrice Nkurunziza, joined the population of Kabanga village, Bukemba zone and commune, of the province of Rutana, on Saturday, June 15, 2024, during the tracing of the contour lines, in a field of Sangwe cooperative.

Addressing the participants in this work, Honourable Nkurunziza called on them to protect the environment, avoid bush fires and rumors, and adopt the policy of controling births.

He asked them to continue to preserve peace and security, to encourage young people to study, and to promote modern agriculture and breeding. He especially insisted on planting of avocado trees.

In this same locality, the Second Deputy Speaker of the Upper House of the Parliament visited the sites of the Moso Cement Company (MOCECO), for the production and marketing of cement as well as the agency of the manufacturing plant organo-mineral fertilizers and agricultural lime (FOMI).

He encouraged the development of these projects which are part of the vision of promoting the country’s economy.
