On Thursday, November 12, 2020, the Second Deputy-Speaker of the Senate, Honorable Cyriaque Nshimirimana, accompanied with other parliamentarians elected in Ruyigi constituency, met the Governor of Ruyigi province, Tabu Emmerencienne and other administrative officials of that province, to prepare together the visits to the scene for those parliamentarians to the population during the ongoing recess.
That visit to the Chief Town of Ruyigi Province was an opportunity for Honorable Nshimirimana to visit the site of the future Provincial Office, under construction, to see the progress report of activities.
On the sidelines of that visit, the Second Deputy-Speaker of the Senate, and other parliamentarians elected in Ruyigi constituency, joined the population of Caga village, Kayongozi zone in Bweru commune, in paving activities of classrooms at the Vocational Training School initiated by “Darius Ikurakure” Foundation.
In his remarks to the population of Kayongozi, by the end of activities, Honorable Nshimirimana invited them to buckle down to development activities, to join the village-based cooperatives and strengthen social cohesion.
Shortly after, he met local representatives of the population and heads of decentralized services from Bweru commune to discuss matters related to the security and socio-economic development of that commune.
During the discussions, participants presented the concerns related to the problems of lack of road infrastructure, drinking water, harvest storage sheds, teachers, microfinance as well as the absence of the ONATEL Network.
