During the parliamentary recess of this month of July 2022, the Second Deputy –speaker of the Senate, Honourable Cyriaque Nshimirimana, joined the inhabitants of the Matana commune, in province of Bururi, this Wednesday, July 20, 2022, in the paving works of the multipurpose room of the police station of this commune.
Honourable Cyriaque Nshimirimana, in his remarks, urged the population of Matana to continue to strengthen peace and security, and to limit births in order to overcome the challenges linked to galloping demography, and more particularly to land disputes. In addition, the 2nd Deputy-speaker of the Senate called on the holders of illegal weapons to hand them over voluntarily and without delay.
In addition, he encouraged them to build the offices of the village chiefs, to prepare to elect the honest and competent people who are part of the organs of the village courts. In this regard, he encouraged women to get elected massively.
Also, Honorable Nshimirimana urged parents to promote the education of their children and help fight against debauchery.
He also reassured the population of this locality that the new administrative division will facilitate the policy of effective decentralization.
He also reminded them to continue to protect them against Covid-19.
