The Senate Speaker calls on Christians to pray for leaders and preserve peace

The Senate Speaker, Right Honorable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, joined the Christians of the United Methodist Church of Gatumba zone, in Mutimbuzi commune of Bujumbura province, in a Sunday mass on September 06, 2020.

In his message, Right Honorable Sinzohagera asked those Christians to pray for the leaders and support them.

He recommended local representatives to listen to the population’s grievances in order to help them find solutions.

As there are land issues in that commune, the Speaker of the Upper House of Parliament recommended the communal administrator to do his best to ensure that land issues are solved and help the vulnerable.

The Senate Speaker ended his speech by advising the population to fight against Covid-19 and preserve peace as well as security.

At the end, he offered the school equipment, composed of 5 copybooks and a schoolbag for every pupil of each household in that Church.

He took that opportunity to thank Houses like LUMITEL and PACOBU that contributed by making available the equipment
