On November 24, 2024, the Senate Speaker and Legal Representative of the United Methodist Church in Burundi, accompanied by the Honourable Senators elected in Bujumbura Town constituency and administrative officials of this locality, participated in the Sunday celebration prayer with the faithful of the parish Cibitoke, located in the commune of Ntahangwa.
In his preaching, he drew inspiration from the Holy Scriptures, notably from 2 Chronicles 20:15, where the Lord exhorts the inhabitants of Jerusalem, including King Jehoshaphat, not to give way to fear in the face of a huge army. He reminds them that the outcome of the fight does not depend on them, but on God.
Likewise, the Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera encouraged Christians not to fear the challenges of life, affirming that a powerful God is at their side to support them. He also stressed the importance of gratitude, inviting everyone to thank God for the gift of life.
He advised the faithful to trust in God, to fast, to raise prayers that pay homage to him, to pray according to his word, to cultivate respect, to sanctify themselves and to express their gratitude everywhere and for everything that He did for them.
