The Senate Speaker calls on political parties to proritize trustworthy candidates for the coming elections

The Senate Speaker, Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, along with some executives of the institution and some administrative authorities of the province Gitega, participated in a workshop on good leadership, source of development, on Thursday, December 12, 2024.

That workshop was organized by International Christian Ministries, and it was held at the Polytechnic University of Gitega, the political capital. The main objective of this activity is to instill in participants the values ​​of administrative leadership, good governance and integrity in order to achieve change for development.

In his speech, Right Honourable Sinzohagera called on political parties to prioritize candidates with integrity in the next elections. He called on the Burundian population, especially the leaders, to be honest, in order to be able to achieve the country’s development objectives: Burundi emerging by 2040 and developed by 2060. “Good governance is the pillar of development.” he indicated.

The Right Honourable speaker of the upper House of the parliament invited Burundians for behaviour change. He exhorted them to focus on each project et conduct it properly. He also asked them to be characterized by the love of work.

He encouraged the International Christian Ministries to go forward in its teachings on the change for development. Finally, he advised the participants in this workshop to go and apply what they have learned.
