The Senate Speaker reassures representatives of religious denominations on the revision of the draft law governing them

The Senate Speaker, Rt. Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, joined, on Sunday, May 8, 2022, the Christians of United Methodist Church (UMC) of Rohero Parish, in Bujumbura Town, in a Sunday prayer. He was accompanied by his spouse, some senators and executives of this Institution.

In his message, the Rt Honourable Sinzohagera talked about the draft law in sight where he indicated that it will soon be analyzed, by deputies and senators, respectively. In this regard, he reassured the representatives of those religious denominations that the revision of that draft law will take into account their desiderata.

Furthermore, the Speaker of the Upper House of the Parliament reminded Christians of the United Methodist Church in particular and all Burundians in general, to continue to protect themselves against covid 19 by respecting barrier measures.

During his preaching, the Rt Honourable Sinzohagera advised everyone to be guided by good works because we will be rewarded by the Almighty. “Never get tired of working in righteousness because God will be grateful for this,” he stressed.
