The Senate Speaker, Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, received in audience the Ambassador of Algeria to Burundi, Mr Hamid BOUKRIF, on Monday, August 01, 2022, during his courtesy visit within this Institution.
At the end of the audience, Ambassador Hamid BOUKRIF indicated that the Senate Speaker told him of the importance that this Institution plays for national cohesion in Burundi.
He explained that their meeting focused on bilateral relations between Burundi and Algeria, areas of common interest between these two countries as well as the complementarity between their economies.
Furthermore, he said that they evoked the importance of political exchanges at all levels. Finally, Ambassador Hamid BOUKRIF pointed out that they are all committed to ensuring that these relations are consolidated for the interest of these two countries and their peoples.
