The Senate Speaker reminds the EMUBU faithful that God has a positive plan for them

On December 8, 2024, the Senate Speaker and Legal Representative of the United Methodist Church in Burundi, Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, accompanied by the Honourable Senators elected in Bujumbura City and the Chief of Staff of the Mayor of the city, participated at the Sunday celebration prayer with the faithful of this Church, “Iriba de Kamenge” parish, in the commune of Ntahangwa, in the town of Bujumbura.

In his teachings, he relied on the Word of God, notably Jeremiah 29:11, where it is said that God knows the plans for each of us: plans of peace and not of misfortune, in order to ensure for all of us a future full of hope.

The Legal Representative of EMUBU urged Church leaders to preach the good news to all creatures, announcing to them that there is a merciful King. He also took this opportunity to wish a Merry Christmas to all Christians, encouraging them to continue to promote the values ​​of the Church by sharing and celebrating together, especially during this festive period.

He reminded Christians that God has a positive plan for each of them. “Don’t worry about what others say or think about you; rather seek to know what the Lord says about you,” he insisted. He also encouraged the faithful to avoid hasty judgments and preserve the peace that God has given them. Finally, he called on everyone to remain firm in their faith.
