On Monday January 11, 2021, the Senate Speaker, Right Honorable Emmanuel SINZOHAGERA conducted a visit to Gifurwe hill in Mpanda commune, Bubanza province to inquire about the inventory of fixtures of his corn and rice fields, as well as those belonging to rice production cooperatives over an area of more than 235 hectares.
During that visit, the Senate Speaker was welcomed by Agro-pastoral Investment and Sangwe Cooperative members.
In his message, Right Honorable SINZOHAGERA congratulated members of those cooperatives for their zeal and invited them to work diligently to overcome poverty. He also called on other citizens who have not yet joined Sangwe cooperatives to do so in order to increase production.
He appealed to the ministry responsible for agriculture, to always make agricultural inputs available without delay.
Before concluding his remarks, the Senate Speaker gave pieces of advice to inhabitants of Mpanda, encouraging them to fight against polygamy, to take the harvests to storage sheds in order not to waste them, to fight against Coronavirus pandemic, to well manage ten million francs allocated to Sangwe cooperatives, etc.
