The women of Ruyigi province invited to promote digitalization and buckle down to various development projects

On Wednesday, March 15, 2023, the 2^nd Deputy Speaker of the Senate, Honourable Cyriaque Nshimirimana, accompanied by a deputy elected in Ruyigi constituency, joined the Women’s Forum in Ruyigi province, during the ceremonies to commemorate the Women’s Day in this province, which took place in the chief town of Kinyinya commune.

On this occasion, Honourable Nshimirimana proceeded, on behalf of the National Women’s Forum, to the distribution of aid consisting of rice, beans and sugar to 80 patients of Kinyinya Hospital. An aid in the form of dry food, loincloths and soap was also given to 106 vulnerable people of Kinyinya commune.

The Second Deputy Speaker of the Senate also inaugurated a house for a vulnerable woman, built by the Women’s Forum in this province, on Karindo village.

He awarded two women’s football teams, Kinyinya and Gisuru, who had just played a friendly match.

In his message, Honourable Cyriaque Nshimirimana invited the women of Ruyigi province to buckle down to different activities and to promote digitalization for development. He advised the population of Ruyigi to closely follow the education of their children, not to waste their harvest and to control births.
