Young Catholics called on to follow theology studies

On July 28, 2024, the Senate Speaker, Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, attended a Sunday mass at the Catholic Church of Nyambuye, in the company of the Governor Chief of Staff of Bujumbura Province, the Administrator of the commune Isare and other senior officials of the region.

In his message, the Senate Speaker thanked His Excellency Bishop Gervais BANSHIMIYUBUSA for the promise to provide the branch of Nyambuye with a Parish. He also called on the young people of this locality to study theology in order to become priests.

Furthermore, the Speaker of the Upper House of the Parliament promised to contribute, on behalf of his family, a sum of 20 million Burundian Francs for the ongoing work at the Nyambuye Catholic Church.
