On Saturday, May 13, 2023, the First Deputy speaker of the Senate, Honourable Dénise Ndadaye, joined the population of Bweru commune, Ruyigi province, to redevelop a water collecting source which supplies the zone Mubavu and a part of the zone Kirambi.
In her remarks, Honourable Dénise Ndadaye challenged the administrative authorities of this commune to encourage the population to get down to community development activities, group together in cooperatives to increase production, ensure good management of crops and cultivate in the same period in order to harvest at the same time.
In addition, she asked them to implement the Burundian government’s call according to which every household must prepare a field measuring at least 10m / 20m during the coming great dry season.
With regard to education, the First Deputy speaker of the Senate appealed to young people, more specifically to young girls, to devote themselves to studies with abnegation and to avoid anyone likely to lure them into debauchery which can lead to early pregnancies.
Among the other advice given to them are the payment of taxes and duties, avoid gossip, work diligently so that in 2060 Burundi could be a developed country as the Government recommends, and evaluate the development work carried out by each commune.
