The Speaker of the Senate joins the people of Bukinanyana during water catchment work

This Monday, September 15, 2025, the Speaker of the Senate, Right Honourable Gervais NDIRAKOBUCA, accompanied by his wife and several communal and provincial administrative officials, joined the people of Myave village, Bukinanyana Commune, Bujumbura Province, in community work to collect drinking water at the source.

In his address to the people who were present, the Right Honourable Gervais NDIRAKOBUCA emphasized that water catchment work is a vital activity for the entire population. It improves living conditions by reducing distances and queues for access to drinking water. Then, he distributed metal sheets to the families who volunteered for two weeks transporting materials for this project.

Concluding his message, he thanked all those who contributed to the realization of this project, especially the population who work diligently and those who gave pipes.
