On Saturday 11 February 2023, the Speaker of the Senate, Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, accompanied by parliamentarians elected in the constituency of Gitega, joined the population of Gitega, the political capital of Burundi, in the construction of the office of the High Court of Gitega. This work consisted in mixing concrete for the paving of this office.
At the end of this activity, Right Honourable Sinzohagera, in his message, urged Burundian population in general and that of Gitega in particular, to get down to the various development activities to increase the production. “Work ennobles man”, he said.
He advised them to grow vegetables, including cabbages, tomatoes, carrots, and many others, near their homes, and to raise small livestock and poultry.
The Senate Speaker also called on them to be patriotic and to love one another. He asked them to ensure respect for the law and for their leaders.
