The Senate Speaker and Legal Representative of the United Methodist Church of Burundi, Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, accompanied by his wife, joined the faithful of the United Methodist Church of the Gasenyi parish in the commune Gisagara of Cankuzo province during Sunday prayers on June 2, 2024.
Taking the opportunity to greet those who were present, he thanked the administrator of the Gisagara commune for having submitted the grievances of the population related to the lack of electricity and the rehabilitation of the RN 21 linking Gisagara commune to the Tanzania. Faced with these grievances, he promised that he would consult the Ministers responsible for infrastructure and energy to deal with it.
In his preaching, Right Honourable Sinzohagera focused his teachings on the holy scriptures found in Proverbs 26:20, Revelation 2:1-5 and Mark 10:17.
He let the faithful know that the main weapons to fight against satan are the Holy Spirit, prayer and the divine word.
He also indicated that there are two things that one cannot deceive: namely God and one’s own soul. Afterward, he called everyone to repent and seek sanctification.
