The population of Gitega called to respond to the Government’s call to plant avocado and coffee trees

This May 25, 2024, the Second Deputy Speaker of the Senate, Honourable Fabrice Nkurunziza joined the population commune Giheta, Gitega province, in the work consisting in digging contour lines in an agricultural area located on the village Muremera which will be exploited by cooperatives.

In his message, Honourable Fabrice Nkurunziza first praised the efforts made by the administrators and the population of Giheta in the considerable increase in production. He took the opportunity to call on this population to always obey the advice given by the competent authorities in matters of agriculture and livestock.

Thereafter, he gave them other advice related notably to protecting environment by digging contour lines on all arable land, practicing livestock breeding, responding to the Government’s call to plant avocado and coffee trees, preparing for the 2025 elections with complete peace of mind and continue to preserve peace and security.
