United Methodist Church faithful challenged to honour their commitments to God

On Sunday, December 29, 2024, the Speaker of the Senate and Legal Representative of the United Methodist Church of Burundi, Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, accompanied by his wife, the senators elected in Bujumbura city and some senior officials of the Senate, joined the faithful of the United Methodist Church of Rohero Parish for Sunday prayer.

In his preaching, the Legal Representative focused on the verses taken from 1Kings 17:7, Timothy 1:6 and Deuteronomy 28:12 and 28:24. He invited all the faithful present to review the commitments they have to God and ask for forgiveness wherever they would  have disregarded them.

The Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera made it known that to keep on receiving divine blessings, one must respect four things: accept to be guided by the Holy Spirit, prayer, read the word of God and above all forgive.

To close, he reminded the faithful that God blesses and rewards based on the verses found in 1Kings 18:44 and Joel 2:25
