On Saturday, September 14, 2024, the First Deputy Speaker of the Senate, Honourable Denise NDADAYE, accompanied by the Governor of Ruyigi province and some administrative officials, joined the population of Butaganzwa commune in the community development work consisting in tracing contour lines in Batye village.
In her message, she thanked the population of Butaganzwa commune for encouraging young people to respond massively to the community development work and invited them to continue tracing contour lines, protect the environment, fight against bush fires and enroll all school-age children in school.
Concerning the village leaders, she urged them to resolve disputes in a transparent way without demanding any corruption.
As for the problem related to the lack of electricity raised by the Governor of Ruyigi, the First Deputy Speaker of the Senate said that the Government is doing its best to find a solution to this challenge, not only in Ruyigi province, but also in all communes of the country.
